 Powered by a scalable and transparent multiple processing engines architecture, the UHT™ Image and Video Compression IP Cores bring all the speed needed today in the 4K/8K Ultra HD and Ultra High Frame Rate video applications. Packed with configurable expanded features and silicon speed versus size versatility, these IPs optimize resource usage and enable massive pixel rates in highly cost-effective FPGA and ASIC implementations.

True H.264 Encoding Efficiency and Perceptually Optimized Image Quality

 A full range of standalone easy-to-use, CPU-less, strictly compliant and widely configurable IP Cores for Baseline, Main and High Profiles H.264 encoding, supporting 8, 10 and 12-bit per component 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 video formats.

 A very rich and well balanced H.264 feature set is offered, along with six base configurations and more than five key options to fine tune each. These ensure the best mapping of bandwidth, latency and power figures to the application requirements, while minimizing silicon, system BOM and IP licensing costs.

Image Compression IP

The Broadest IP Portfolio for JPEG, JPEG 2000 and JPEG-LS Image Compression

 Standard or High Dynamic Range - up to 16-bit per component - lossy, visually lossless and numerically lossless compression of Full Color - 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:1:1, 4:2:0, and more - Grayscale, Infrared and Panchromatic image data.

 8-bit Baseline or 12-bit Extended JPEG compression, including Constant Bitrate video encoding. Up to 16-bit per component lossy or numerically lossless JPEG 2000 encoding, including high quality accurate rate control and single component Multiple Quality Layers support. JPEG-LS encoding, offering the JPEG 2000 lossless compression efficiency advantage in much more compact silicon footprint and without requiring an external memory device.
